My Favorite Images From 2018

This year was the first time Jayne and I participated in a group tour for our visit to another country. Our time share offered us the chance to experience New Zealand and we decided to do it. I normally prefer driving so that I could spend time shooting where and when I wanted. But with driving on the other side of the road, it was not something that I wanted to do. I did book the services of a private guide for a day before we started our actual tour which allowed me to capture some unusual images.

As a photo artist, this trip was not the traditional way to go about capturing art, but it worked for me. Over the dozen years Jayne and I have been timeshare owners, I have learned to adapt a more fast paced style of shooting, capturing many locations which the average tourist may not visit.

This was also the first year of my new restricted life style due to changes in my health. Although my issues were not life threatening, they were serious enough to change the way I normally did things. Now my pace is slower and more deliberate and more limited. But it has not stopped me. I’ve had to scale back on our hiking and strenuous activity. I did the best I could with the physical resources I could muster this year. So, once again, this year’s images are from two of our travels.

The first three are from the Mesquite area, and the remaining nine are from New Zealand.

Although I was not able to dig as deeply into my art as I would have liked, I was still able to produce!

Happy New Year everyone! Enjoy Life!
