Our Parisian Adventure 4
Another theme which surfaced for me during our visit in Paris is something I’m calling “Parisian Frontage”. I was especially enamored by the tastefully decorated city windows and storefronts. I guess you can say that about any place you go, but there is a certain charm about the ones in inner city Paris. These are very simple and elegant; never overdone as one might see in the States. Also, the ancient charm comes from the very definition of the age of some of these settings. The feel there is like that of an well-aged bottle of French wine!
The images below are mostly from the Latin Quarter or the Montmartre district .

And a few storefronts.

And of course, an embedded self-portrait from the Latin Quarter!
Enjoy life!
Thanks for the compliment, Jer. It was a great trip!
These shots which look vaguely interesting when viewed individually snap into focus when viewed as a collection. I love your notion of “finely aged French wine” – the ones you show here do have a perfect blend of fraying at the edges and the intent of elegant design. Nicely done. The collection elucidates one of the subtler impressions I had of the trip. I wouldn’t have been able to say in words what you did in a collection of shots.
