Our Parisian Adventure 6
Until now, I had never attempted to try my hand at street photography. There were several reasons for this, but the biggest one was my reluctance to fully commit to the experience. I believe what the greats have said that the photographer best needs to be part of the scene, which means up close and not from afar. Many risks come to mind in this day of privacy issues and volatile temperaments.
That said, I decided to give it a try. Make no mistake, however, these are mostly taken from afar. I just don’t feel comfortable getting in too close with the camera. But the allure of the laid-back Parisian lifestyle of cafe-viewing of people walking by is a very fun, relaxing thing to do.
I am experimenting with this theme a little and making it more about Parisian pastimes rather than straight street photography. Sightseeing in Paris can be luxuriously addicting and entertaining as we watch the constant flow of mini-stories unfolding right before our eyes!
