Trento and Bressanone
The highlight of the visit to Trento was Buonconsiglio Castle, home to late-medieval fresco cycles.
The next day, we visited the town of Brixen/Bressanone, the oldest town in the province. There was lots of shopping in this picturesque area with a medieval town center, Cathedral Square.
The Cathedral of the Assumption in Brixen dates back to the 10th century, when it was dedicated to Mary’s assumption into Heaven. The present building is of the Romanesque style.
Here is an ambitious hanglider floating over the town…
Finally, a few scenes of the surrounding picturesque countryside.
Enjoy life!
Thanks, Judi!
