Tongariro National Park
Tongariro National Park is the oldest national park in New Zealand, located in the central North Island. It has been acknowledged by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site of mixed cultural and natural values.
The park was the fourth national park established in the world. The active volcanic mountains Ruapehu, Ngauruhoe (Mt. Doom!), and Tongariro are located in the center of this park.
Jayne and I contracted the guide services of Terry Blumhardt at Tongariro Guided Walk s. Terry’s knowledge and passion for the park allowed us to see some park sites the average tourist would not see.

Enjoy life!
End of October, beginning of November. We got home 11/8/2018. The weather was rainy a lot yet when we needed to see a sight, it stopped raining! Go figure!
Amazing terrain! Looking forward to seeing more images.
